The Borough made Easier....

The traditional seaside town of Redcar is predominantly flat terrain with plenty of dropped curbs and drop-off points around the town centre and esplanade.  The main shopping high street is flat and paved and many of the shops have automatic doors and lifts/elevators to additional floors.

 

From the esplanade there are some shops with steps up to the front, but this is catered for with some of them having installed lift access.

The Victorian Spa town of Saltburn is split into two parts, the upper and lower promenades.  The upper is predominantly flat, with dropped curbs and drop-off points.  The lower prom can be reached via the wheelchair accessible Cliff Lift which takes you down to the beach, pier and additional seafront facilities.

Guisborough is still very much an ancient market town, with cobbled side streets and narrow paths which often slope.
